The Crew At Thirty Mill Studios

Colin Wynne

Colin has worked in the studio scene for well over a decade, where his mixing, recording and producing skills have led him to work with artists such as Grammy Award winning Mamadou Diabate, and local ARIA award winners Monique Brumby, Matt Walker, Jeff Lang…. and the list goes on.

Colin’s recorded work has appeared on albums alongside work by Mitchell Froom and Mark Opitz. He has also managed to quietly play session guitar for the likes of Walmart and Jenny Craig together with a spot of shredding for the World Wrestling Federation, leaving those last facts off his bio. That being said you can read more on him via the link below.

Mark Opitz

Mark Opitz really needs no introduction to any fan of Australian music. Multi ARIA award winning, and with credits too numerous to mention here, he is arguably Australia’s greatest producer. Mark’s work is well known both throughout Australia as well as overseas, and these days, despite being a Queenslander, and a rugby player at that, he calls Melbourne home.

In between adventures overseas you can find him making noise at Thirty Mill Studios. For those of you with time on your hands, you can view his full credits via the link below.

Jeff Lang

A guitarist, singer and songwriter, Jeff has built up a reputation for startlingly original performances, working without a set list and allowing the unique energy of each night to shape the songs. "Seeing Jeff Lang was like being at church for three hours - a totally sacred event. He's the man as far as I'm concerned." John Butler "Lang's music is as fiercely original as it is moving." Guitar Player Magazine "Lang is really the godfather of an Australia-based back-to-basics blues movement that now encompasses the John Butler Trio, Ash Grunwald and Xavier Rudd." Bruce Elder, Sydney Morning Herald. You can read more about Jeff via the link below.

Kerri Simpson

From the world music album of the year award, for her ‘Vodou Songs of the Spirits’ album, to the weird and wonderful London Underground dance scene, Kerri’s music and production skills are world class. On her global adventures, Kerri happens to be the only Australian female to be invited to the ‘Jazz and Heritage festival’ held in New Orleans, and has also managed to live in some of the most remote and dangerous places you are likely to find, but that’s another story. With her award winning ‘Suns’ Gonna Shine’ album, which stayed in the Australian roots charts for 9 weeks, Kerri Simpson is considered as one of Australia’s finest roots musicians.
